PROJECT SPECIFICS:

This project involved the replacement of approximately 28,000 LF of undersized water mains, construction of a 200,000 gallon ground storage tank, and demolition of a substandard ground storage tank.  Funding for the project was secured from the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources through their High Unit Cost Program.

PROJECT CHALLENGES:

The replacement of the existing undersized water lines took place in heavily developed residential areas.  Design and Construction had to be carefully coordinated to allow continued operation of the existing water system.
